a little about myself...
I've got a burning passion for music and I've been mixing for the last decade.
A devout junglist from Lancashire, i got my first decks at 15 and started playing
records with my mates in bedrooms and cellars. Going out partying to DnB in late
1999 at clubs and festivals had a big influence on me and i started buying lots more music and throwing small parties myself. One great thing about growing up in the countryside and having no neighbours was i could play my music as loud as i felt, feeding my thirst for buying records. With my minidisk recorder and a long commute to music college in 2001, I had plenty of time to listen back to my recordings, investing more in my now accumulating collection and diving headfirst into building up and discovering new sounds. That's around the time i first encountered the junglist vibes and was blown away by the raw energy and depth of the sound. The rhythms, the sheer magnitude of styles and sample based roots, drew the finest chops from every style i wanted to hear. This isn't something everyone will get, this is underground. Seeking out rare, forgotten, hidden gems, I try to step away from the sounds of the expected, creating vibrant energy and rhythmic momentum, carving journeys like no other. Always chasing the next bar, anticipating the next edit, absorbing the strings, pads and riding the basslines.
I've been spinning Jungle/DnB/Brokenkbeat Hardcore in the UK underground 'local professional' circuit for a number of years. Playing regularly with the ReDub,
Drum Music, Sourpuss and Crash Crews and sharing the stage with heavyweight Producers/DJs like - Remarc, Aphrodite, Bizzy B, SoulJah, Tayo, Dreadzone,
MCs D.Bo General, Topcat and DubFx. With sets driven out on the Stumblefunk and Herbal-Sessions Sound Systems and some guest mixes online with Redub Radio and Urban Warfare. I've spent the last two years in Melbourne Australia and been blessed with playing alongside some of the big Jungle heads down here. Mainly powered by the mighty Heartical Hi-Fi Sound System, the Rising Lantern and Collective Force parties were where the memories were made. I'm now scheduled a return to Northwest England, with loads of unopened Records waiting for my return and Festivals and Outdoor affairs to smash up with the loot.

I've been writing tunes on and off for a few years, but it's only recently that I've really been getting into it. Now its all about making tunes to blow peoples minds. Tunes that don't and won't let you sit still for a minute! Crescendo after crescendo…propelled by baselines, always pushing forward, exploding drum shrapnel carving out the way. Peppered with sweetness, badness and everything in between, like a technicolor canvas. Drawing influence from any style that works, sampling reggae to techno, jazz to hip-hop, the juicy bits from all the best music and getting creative with it. Taking sounds further, applying, building up loops and shots, filtering, flipping, twisting, extending, pitching and stretching these sounds to create something special and hypnotic and surely much more than the sum of its parts. I'm currently working on a tune, that you'll soon be able to preview. In the meantime check out my mixes and add me on facebook for updates as they happen.
For me, Jungle is still the most rhythmical and inspiring electronic music movement. Certainly the king of the dance scene?! and the result is a beautiful portrayal of inspiration and creativity, that evoke every emotion and awaken a higher consciousness and an elevated sense of wellbeing. It's all love, its everywhere…encapsulated in vibrations and bleeding through the walls. After all these years I've been submerged in it and the small fortune i've spent on feeding my hunger for it, I still feel the same way. What I lay down i hope will stand out for the right reasons, breathing fresh air and inspiring people musically, hoping people get half as much from it as i do.
Biggup all musical styles, all sounds, the places they take us to and the people we share it with. Biggup all those with a passion, love of life and a fire in their heart...
